A dentist who has finished dental school and at least three more years of advanced study in a prosthodontic graduate program certified is known as a prosthodontist. They are experts at handling dental and facial issues involving the replacement of lost teeth and the reconstruction of the jaw bone. A prosthodontist has extensive training in temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), dentures, crowns, bridges, cosmetics, and dental implants.
